The Cashier position in Kuwait is a vital role within the catering and food service industry, responsible for managing transactions and ensuring customer satisfaction. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for customers, handling payments and providing a friendly service. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of the business while contributing to a positive dining experience.
Responsibilities:
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer and prepare daily cash reports.
- Assist customers with inquiries and provide information about menu items.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the cashier area.
- Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues professionally.
- Promote special offers and upsell menu items to enhance sales.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cash handling.
- Participate in training sessions to improve service skills and product knowledge.
Preferred Candidate:
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
- Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficient in using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage.
